Family Session Style Guide

CSP Style Guide-2019

Family photos should last a lifetime, but what shouldn't take a lifetime is picking your outfits!!! We want to help make the choice a little easier for you, so check out a couple of these ideas from previous families, but also keep a three things in mind…

--->Light Shades and Solids: Solid colors often look the best, and lighter colors tend to photograph better than dark. Many prints and stripes tend to be distracting, and you really want the focus of the photo to be on your family! (Holiday sessions can be a little different…sometimes families opt to go with something fun and spunky since your photos may be going on a card:)

--->Classic: You will have these portraits forever! Try to stay away from trendy. Neutral, classic colors are always a great choice! Lighter colors tend to offer a brighter, airier gallery when your photos are returned to you! You don't want to get tired of these portraits hanging on your wall, simply because you picked the trendiest top or dress in your closet!

--->Coordinate: Try to pick pieces that coincide with what your family members are wearing! Be careful not to be too matchy, matchy though! For example, different shades of one color always work great together!

--->Comfort: No one likes trying to be something they’re not...and your pictures will show it! In the end, choose something that your body will love you for!

If you don't feel your best in it, its not the right choice for your photo shoot!

As always, let me know if you have any questions at all!
